We now carry sandals

They’re made by Omaking — a family workshop in Vastseliina, southeastern Estonia. The founder’s great-grandson runs it now. The company has been making footwear there since 1927. Nine models in the collection.
The premium leather sandals are called Helsinki. We have both for him and for her versions. Genuine leather upper and lining — leather on both sides, not microfibre. Ergonomic latex insole. EVA outsole, which is lighter than the PU sole most sandals use and you feel the difference. Part of TOKU, Omaking’s design line, built with Estonian designer Piibe Tompi. The Estonian Design Awards jury called it “The New Estonian Classic.” Women’s sizes 36–42, men’s sizes 41–47.

The Athens is also TOKU, also Piibe Tompi. Closed heel, adjustable ankle strap, velour anatomical insole. Based loosely on ancient Greek sandal construction. It’s the one if you want something with a proper heel.
The Lauri is for rough ground. Three Velcro straps, heel lock included. The sole is hand-connected to the upper. The insole is latex-cushioned. Omaking call it perfect for hiking. Sizes 41–46.
Six more: Meeliku (women’s, two leather buckles), Liiva (three Velcro, arch support, sizes 35–42), Miku (men’s slip-on, stretchy side, no buckles), Madise (men’s, two Velcro, from €24), Professional (all-day, replaceable latex-cork insole, Lycra heel cushioning), Rome Vegan (Piñatex upper made from pineapple leaf fibres, wide fit, no animal leather).
OmaKing means “my own shoe” in Estonian. Rait’s great-grandfather Peeter started the workshop in 1927. Rait set up the modern company in 1993 and kept production in Võrumaa. Natural leather. Proper construction. Still there.
