FAQ
Are the Tarkovsky boots waterproof? The leather is water-repellent, which handles rain and wet conditions well. They are not fully waterproof for prolonged submersion.
Can I wear them in winter? Yes — with warm or wool socks. The boots have no insulating lining, so the socks do the work in freezing temperatures.
What's the difference between the black and dark brown versions? Only the colour. Construction, materials, and sizing are identical.
Who makes them? Samelin OÜ in Estonia — the same factory that has been producing M77 boots for the Norwegian army since 1977.
How do I care for the leather? Clean with a damp cloth, dry naturally, and condition with a quality leather wax or cream every few months. Avoid direct heat when drying.

Recently bought these boots. Very satisfied with the purchase. High quality leather and craftsmanship.
Sometime ago I ordered Tarkovsky boots. My opinions:
Look: 10/10
Buckles: 7/10, sometimes I am afraid that their mount can be broken
Leather: 6/10 - it feels a little bit too thin, as it is really sensitive to scratches - despite wearing them only in town (I haven't tested them in urban abandoned areas or nature obstacles yet , as I planned), visible scratches and recess in the surface can be seen, what is really making me sad (I can send photos).
I wish leather would be more tougher.
Overall: i really like these boots, my legs dont feel tired after spending all day in those shoes, temperature feels comfortable both outside and inside. Lovely!
Oh my, how I dreamed of these boots — finally something to wear in summer too. They feel dignified, secure, and comfortable on foot. I can wear them to work, berry-picking, or a party without a second thought.
Cool boots. The same great Samelin quality — the kind that could take every kind of abuse in the Estonian Defence Forces and still hold up. Not like other European rubbish that lasts 3 months in Estonian climate.
Very comfortable, practical, and beautiful!
