FAQ
How does brown compare to the other Aviator colorways? Same boot, same construction. Brown is the most versatile of the range — neutral enough for everyday use, with more character than black. Red and white are bolder choices. Black is the most understated.
Will the brown leather age well? Yes. Brown genuine leather develops a natural patina with wear and conditioning. It improves over time.
Is the minimal lining a problem in cold weather? In mild to moderate cold, no. In freezing conditions, pair with a thick wool or thermal sock. The boot is not insulated — it's built for breathability and all-round use.
Are these suitable for hiking? Light hiking and trail walking, yes. For demanding terrain or longer outdoor use, look at the M77 or 553 hiking boots.
Who makes these? Samelin OÜ, Tartu, Estonia. NATO-certified, 75+ years in production.

Decent boots overall, but the rather poor soles mean I can't rate them above three stars. The soft rubber soles are fine for off-road use, but on asphalt or other hard surfaces they wear down quickly.
Can't wait for autumn to be able to wear them again. My favourites!
