Why order together

The M77 Inner Socks improve fit, warmth, and comfort across all M77 variants — including the 2.0. The lighter sole on the 2.0 shortens the break-in period compared to the original, but the inner socks still make a difference during those first weeks of wear. In cold conditions they add insulation without bulk.

M77 original or M77 2.0?

The 2.0 uses a dual-layer sole — a lighter material on top, original PU underneath. This makes the boot noticeably lighter and less stiff from new. Same leather, same lining, same factory. If you want the classic field boot and don't mind the longer break-in, go original. If you want M77 quality with less friction getting there, the 2.0 is the right choice.
